Don't suffer with doubt. This rapid test detects three key indicators of a urinary tract infection (UTI) in your urine: leukocytes, nitrites, and protein . Get a quick answer to know if your symptoms could be a UTI and whether you should see a doctor.
Benefits
✅ 3-in-1 Test: Detects leukocytes (white blood cells), nitrites (produced by bacteria) and proteins – the main warning signs.
✅ Result in Seconds: The reading is done in a few minutes through a simple color comparison.
✅ Complete Kit: Includes everything you need for hygienic collection and testing.
✅ Decision Aid: A positive result is a strong indicator to seek medical advice.
✅ Easy to Use: Simple immersion and reading process.
What's in the Package?
-
1 UTI Reagent Strip (multiparameter)
-
1 Sterile Urine Collection Container
-
1 Color Chart for Interpretation
-
1 Information Leaflet with Detailed Instructions
Who is this test for?
This test is ideal for you if you are experiencing:
-
Severe pain or burning when urinating (dysuria)
-
Frequent and urgent need to urinate, even with little urine
-
Discomfort or pressure in the pelvic or lower abdominal area
-
Urine with a strong odor or cloudy appearance
-
Feeling like you can't completely empty your bladder
What Does the Test Detect?
-
Leukocytes (White Blood Cells): Their presence in the urine (leukocyturia) indicates inflammation or infection in the urinary tract.
-
Nitrites: These are produced by certain bacteria (such as E. coli ) that convert normal nitrates in urine into nitrites. Their presence is a strong indicator of bacterial infection .
-
Protein (Proteinuria): Elevated levels may be associated with infections, inflammation, or other kidney problems.
A positive result in at least one of these parameters increases the likelihood of a UTI.
How does it work?
The test strip contains special chemicals (reagents) in small squares (pads). When submerged in urine, each pad reacts with a specific parameter (leukocytes, nitrites, proteins), changing color if that element is present. The intensity of the color indicates the approximate amount of the substance.
How to Interpret the Result?
-
After the exact time indicated on the leaflet (usually between 60 and 120 seconds), compare each pad on the strip to the color chart provided.
-
A positive result in any of the parameters (Leukocytes, Nitrites or Proteins) suggests the possibility of a urinary tract infection.
-
The more positive parameters, the greater the probability of it being a UTI.
Note: The reading must be taken at the exact time specified. Reading too early or too late may give inaccurate results.
Step-by-Step Instructions for Use
-
Collection: Collect a midstream urine sample in the sterile container provided. Preferably in the morning, as urine is more concentrated.
-
Immerse: Hold the strip by the colored end. Submerge the test pads in the urine for 1-2 seconds. Remove and remove excess urine by gently wiping the side of the strip along the rim of the container.
-
Wait: Place the strip on a flat, clean, dry surface with the pads facing up.
-
To read: Wait exactly the time specified on the package insert (usually 1 to 2 minutes). Don't read before or after. Carefully compare the color of each pad with the color chart.
Caution: Keep out of reach of children. For in vitro diagnostic use.
Act quickly at the first sign of discomfort. Get a quick response at home.
Important Note
This self-test is an initial screening tool for signs of a urinary tract infection. It does not provide a definitive diagnosis and does not identify the specific type of bacteria . A positive result is a strong indication that you should see a doctor for confirmation via urine culture and receive appropriate antibiotic treatment, if necessary. Do not start any treatment without medical advice. A negative result does not completely rule out a UTI, especially if symptoms persist. In these cases, you should also see a doctor.
