How Does It Work? (Test Principle)

The test is a chromatographic immunoassay that detects the acrosome protein SP-10 , present in the sperm head. The presence of this protein above a certain threshold (15 million/mL) causes a colored line to appear in the test zone (T), indicating sufficient concentration.

How to Interpret the Result? (After 10 minutes)

• NORMAL (Concentration ≥ 15 million/mL): TWO colored lines appear , one in the control zone (C) and one in the test zone (T). Any intensity in the T line , even if weak, is considered a normal result for this parameter.

• ABNORMAL/LOW (Concentration < 15 million/mL): ONLY ONE line appears in the control zone (C). No line is visible in the test zone (T). This suggests that sperm concentration may be below the reference level. Medical consultation is recommended.

• INVALID: If NO LINE appears in the control zone (C), the test did not work. You must repeat it with a new device.

Step-by-Step Instructions for Use (Crucial Summary)

1. Preparation: Abstain from sex for 3 to 7 days before the test.

2. Collection: Collect a semen sample by masturbation into the clean, dry collection cup provided.

3. Liquefaction: Let the sample rest at room temperature for 60 minutes to completely liquefy.

4. Sample Preparation:

   • Use the transfer device to collect an accurate amount of the liquefied sample.

   • Transfer it to the bottle of buffer solution and shake gently to mix (dilute).

5. Application:

   • Place the test cassette into the workstation .

   • Using the dropper on the vial, add 2 drops of the diluted mixture to the sample well (S) of the cassette.

6. Wait: Wait 10 minutes for the result to develop.

7. Read: Interpret the result after 10 minutes . Do not read after 20 minutes.
